Keeping the Mother Road alive |
Although I do not live any place close to Route 66, not even to the United States and I have limited time to travel, I love the Mother Road ever since my first contact.
What I probably like most is to meet people that share the same passion as I do. I love to talk with them and see how they are doing on Route 66 with the efforts they put into their passion for a Road that was decommissioned back in 1985, that was completely removed from all maps, but has come back, thanks to people from along America's Longest Small Town (quote by Jim Hinckley) ... and not to forget all the worldwide associations and organizations.
I am one of those enthusiasts that try to help revive and preserve this American Icon. My financial resources are limited, but there’s something else I can do that might help Route 66 Businesses and People and eventually Route 66 itself.
On the one hand, 25% of the profit from the ArtWork I created on and about Route 66 is going back to Route 66 via Route 66 Germany, ...the only officially acknowledged German association in the US to support Route 66.
So I came up with another project, promoting people and businesses along the Mother Road to the best of my possibilities, using my social media contacts.
If interested, please answer the below questions and send them together with some photos (as mentioned below) to rte66travelers @ gmail . com (please remove spaces)

These information, however, will be probably in German language only. These links get you to our private blog Zwei Waldkraiburger on Tour.
